Unless you are 100% satisfied with who you are and what you are doing in life, we are always wanting more. There does become a point in our lives where we have achieved what we wanted to achieve and we don’t want to go back to what we once did in our careers.

There are times when we say “Yes” when we really want to say “No” and there are times when we want to say “No” but we say “Yes” anyway. Careers are funny.

The maximum amount of communication is mainly carried out through our body language and how we hold and conduct our bodies. Studying or reading up more on the concept and interpretation of body language will make you understand the various signs and signals you give away by the postures you sink into.

For instance: On slouching and keeping your arms crossed, you tend to come across as defensive and uninterested. Instead, sitting up straight and leaning slightly forward depicts that you’re alert and attentive.

You wish to do your job perfectly and be of assistance to every employee. Solving an employee’s doubt satisfactorily is of importance to an HR executive. This is because HR department is often the internal face of an organization. The goodwill of the employees depends on how the Human Resources personnel treat them. Portray a professional image in front of your company’s employees with the help of fluent English conversational skills.

The faster an HR executive solves an employee query the better. Employees often come to the HR department in search of urgent matters regarding their leaves, salary etc.

Promotion letters are those that follow an extremely rigid format and may/ may not vary as per the seniority of the promotion. The English language in such letters has to be professional and crisp.

As an HR executive, you issue these promotion letters on the orders of the management at the prior consent of your company. You have to pay heed to the fact that the letter has to convey the message to the employee effectively, however, in simple English, to write an effective promotion, there are set of rules which need to be followed.

Your every interaction with your colleagues, such as, writing emails, official paperwork, etc., all has to be done in English.

There are numerous situations in your work life that may require you to use your spoken English for interaction. The way you speak with your friends and your English speaking in an office set up is different. With friends, the mood of your talks is more informal and friendly, while when in an office, you need to be careful of the words you use and how you frame your sentences.

I love hearing these words because I know I can help these clients make a dramatic improvement in their interview game pretty quickly. They tend to be people who are successful and confident and poised, but just a bit too modest when it comes to talking about themselves.

Take Lawrence for example. He is an accomplished IT professional with an impressive resume and no problem getting up in front of a room full of colleagues.

However, he hasn’t interviewed in a while and he’s always been a fairly humble guy.

Just by simply setting a goal, you increase your chances for succeeding. But researchers are now learning that there is also a downside to goals.

An overly narrow focus on a specific domain of performance can certainly enhance your performance in that domain. But at what cost? When there is complexity involved (and isn’t there always complexity?), the specificity of setting a singular performance goal inhibits learning, adapting, and innovating. It narrows our thinking and problem-solving, which can actually impair performance in complex situations where there isn’t always a clear and consistent relationship between an action and an outcome.
