The Chopras Group launch operations in Singapore

The Chopras Group (The Chopras), a well-known education group, is establishing a footprint in Singapore with an eye on regional South East Asian markets. The 23-year old group has been helping students shape their careers across 38 countries in 4 continents. The firm would initially offer students Psychometrics, Higher Education Management, Test & Language Preparation, and an exclusive set of EB-5 investment opportunities. Over time, it will provide a wider range of services designed for universities and corporates including strategy, leadership development and action learning.

Announcing the launch, Naveen Chopra, Founder and Chairman said, “In an everchanging world, where jobs and indeed careers are fast disappearing, we see ourselves as thought leaders playing a critical role in helping provide students a discussion platform to unravel the emerging challenges and help them achieve their true potential. Our vision is large and one that is global. It includes setting up our first university designed for the 21st century paradigm, The University of North-West Himalayas, in the State of Uttarakhand, India, the first batch of which should be enrolling in Fall 2020. The goal of the university, which will be open to students in Singapore, will be to produce lateral thinkers of the future. We look forward to building a global platform that is fully committed to working with millions of students and parents all over the world with the highest standards and integrity to help shape their lives and careers for the future. All our initiatives are a response to the global need for meaningful education that prepares students for a world that is being taken over by automation with few new jobs emerging.”

With the launch of the Singapore operations, The Chopras aim to reach out to professionals and students across key markets in South East Asia. Some of the prime markets, in addition to Singapore, include Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Philippines.

The Chopras Group have also recently joint forces with America’s leading financial institution (Regional Centre) to market the EB-5 and preferred equity investment opportunities in the highest quality real estate with leading developers in New York, Los Angeles and Florida. U.S. Congress created the EB-5 Program in 1990 to enable high net worth Foreign Investors to obtain a U.S. Visa for him/her and its immediate family by investing a minimum of $500,000 in a U.S. business that will benefit the economy and create 10 jobs for American workers. Each year, the U.S. government allocates 10,000 visas for foreigners who invest through the program.

As part of the launch initiatives, the Group also organised a Global Career Summit in Singapore to present a wide range of service offerings and a group of international universities.
