It is something that comes with experience, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot work on improving your business writing by using some of the many resources that are out there to help you gain confidence in writing letters, memos and reports.

The main difference between business writing and other styles is that as it is representing an organization it must have an appropriate level of professionalism. The language must be clear and concise and should have a businesslike tone. However, your writing should not be too formal, you need to make it easy to understand and use the same language that you would use face to face or in a phone conversation.
