Career success tips: mistakes to avoid and tips for first time job seekers

Kalpana Bansal, founder of HR services provider Talentrpo and author of the book “Up the Beanstalk: Reflections and Insights of an Entrepreneurial Voyage” was recently interviewed by Rediff.com. Ms.Bansal had some useful insights for youngsters on succeeding in their careers and some valuable tips for first-time job seekers. She espouses several ‘old-school’ values such as hard work, commitment and attitude— we may be living in the era of soaring expectations and instant gratification, but these virtues are critical for sustainable success.

* Looks are important, but they do not matter much after the first five minutes. Build yourself within
